5 Floridian Seafood Festivals to Attend in 2025

Florida's rich coastal heritage is celebrated through a variety of seafood festivals held annually across the state. These events offer locals and visitors alike the opportunity to indulge in fresh, local seafood—from shrimp to oysters to crab legs—all while enjoying live entertainment, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities.

Here are just a few of the many popular upcoming seafood festivals in Florida:

St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival

Dates: March 29 – 30

Held at Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival raises funds for local, state, national, and international charitable causes and individuals. There are all kinds of events for the whole family, from axe throwing and an interactive fire engine exhibit, to face painting, music, clowns, and magic.

In addition to games to play, you can expect to see arts and crafts vendors, try food from a variety of booths, and enter their 50-50 drawing to win 50 percent of the ticket proceeds!

Fort Pierce Oyster Festival

Dates: April 12 – 13

The Fort Pierce Oyster Festival takes place along the waterfront in downtown Fort Pierce at Veterans Memorial Park & River Walk Center. Admission is free, and the event features all kinds of seafood, music, and arts and crafts—with plenty of oysters, of course!

Enjoy raw shucked oysters, steamed oysters, po’ boys, char grilled oysters, fried oysters, and even oyster shooters with vodka or beer.

Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival

Dates: May 2 – 4

One neat feature of the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is that all of its food booths are run by Nassau County non-profit organizations. Based in Fernandina Beach, Florida, on Amelia Island, the family-friendly festival features antique sales, contests, arts and crafts, a kids fun zone, a pageant, a parade, and a 5k run/walk.

There’s shrimp for everyone, a ton to explore, and even a new section this year that will be featuring local small businesses with less than six employees.

Pensacola Seafood Festival

Dates: September 26 – 28

Held in downtown Pensacola, this festival is a vibrant celebration combining culinary delights with art and entertainment. Visitors can indulge in a diverse array of seafood dishes, including shrimp, crawfish, scallops, crab, grouper, alligator, gumbo, lobster rolls, étouffée, paella, conch fritters, and more, all served by various local restaurants and vendors.

The event also features over 170 artisans showcasing handmade crafts and is one of the longest running festivals in Northwest Florida.

Florida Seafood Festival

Dates: October 31 – November 1

Held annually in Apalachicola, the Florida Seafood Festival is the state's oldest maritime event, attracting around 25,000 visitors each year. The festival features a parade, oyster shucking and eating contests, blue crab races, and an array of fresh local seafood prepared by community groups.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Battery Park, attendees can also enjoy live music, a carnival, arts and crafts exhibits, and a 5K run.

These festivals not only provide an opportunity to savor Florida's fresh seafood but also offer a glimpse into the state's rich cultural traditions and community spirit. If you love eating all kinds of delicious seafood and are looking to discover new restaurants and recipes, these festivals will be perfect for you!
